hOW CAN WE HELP?
A Licensed Plumber Who Understands Commercial Needs
Commercial plumbing is different from residential work. The fixtures are heavier-duty, the codes are stricter, the systems are more complex, and the consequences of a plumbing failure are immediate — a restaurant that can’t run water shuts down, an office building with a backed-up restroom sends tenants home, and an apartment complex with a burst pipe affects multiple families at once.
Â
We’re a licensed, insured Indiana plumbing company with over three decades of hands-on experience across both residential and commercial work. We serve business owners, property managers, and facility operators across the Greater Southside Indianapolis area. When you call, you get a direct conversation with our team, not a dispatcher routing you through a queue. We show up on time, diagnose honestly, and price the work upfront so you can make decisions without surprises.

Common Commercial Plumbing Problems We Handle
Restroom Fixtures That Keep Breaking DownÂ
High-traffic restrooms in restaurants, offices, and retail spaces put more strain on toilets, faucets, and flush valves than residential use ever will. If you’re calling for repairs on the same fixtures repeatedly, the issue may be undersized equipment, wrong-specification parts, or wear from volume that residential-grade hardware can’t handle.Â
- What to do: Call us for an assessment. We'll determine whether a repair, a parts upgrade, or a commercial-grade replacement is the right move.
Grease Trap Overflowing or Backing UpÂ
If your restaurant’s grease trap is backing up into the kitchen or producing foul odors, it’s either full, improperly sized, or the line downstream is clogged. Health departments require functioning grease traps in food service operations; a failure here can mean a citation or a temporary shutdown.Â
- What to do: Call us for grease trap service. We clean, repair, and replace grease traps to keep your kitchen compliant and operational.
Weak Pressure in Multiple Restrooms or FixturesÂ
In a commercial building, low pressure across multiple areas usually points to a supply line problem — undersized piping for the building’s demand, mineral buildup restricting flow, a failing pressure-reducing valve, or a partially closed main shut-off. It’s rarely an individual fixture issue.Â
- What to do: We'll trace the system from the main supply to identify where the restriction is and recommend the right fix.
Tenants or Customers Are ComplainingÂ
If you’re a property manager getting calls about slow drains, inconsistent hot water, or restroom issues across multiple units, there’s likely a building-wide plumbing issue rather than isolated tenant problems. Addressing the root cause saves you from repeat service calls.Â
- What to do: Call us to evaluate the building's plumbing system. We'll identify whether the issue is localized or systemic and quote the work to fix it properly.
New Buildout, Tenant Improvement, or Space ConversionÂ
- What to do: Bring us in during the planning phase. We'll review the scope, confirm code requirements, and coordinate with your general contractor on timing.
Commercial Plumbing Services We Provide
Commercial Plumbing Repair and Maintenance
Toilet and faucet repairs, supply line fixes, drain clearing, water heater service, fixture replacements, and ongoing maintenance for commercial restrooms, kitchens, and building systems. We respond quickly because we understand that a plumbing problem at your business costs you money every hour it isn't fixed.
Restaurant Plumbing
Grease trap installation, cleaning, and repair. Commercial sink hookups. gas line connections for ranges, ovens, and fryers. Dishwasher hookups. Floor drain service. We understand the specific plumbing requirements that health departments and building codes impose on food service operations.
Backflow Preventer Installation and Testing
Backflow prevention devices protect your building's water supply from contamination caused by reverse flow in the system. Many commercial properties are required to have backflow preventers installed and tested annually. We install, test, and certify backflow prevention devices for commercial facilities.
Tenant Improvement and Commercial Buildout Plumbing
Plumbing rough-in for new commercial spaces, restroom additions, kitchen buildouts, and space conversions. We handle ADA-compliant fixture installations, new supply and waste line routing, and coordination with general contractors on tenant improvement projects. Full scope from rough-in to trim-out.
Why Businesses Choose a Local Commercial Plumber
Get Your Business Back Up and Running Fast
According to FEMA, just 1 inch of water in a commercial space can cause tens of thousands of dollars in damage, not including lost revenue during the closure. We prioritize commercial emergency calls because we understand that downtime has a direct financial impact on your business. Same-day response during business hours.
One Team for All Your Plumbing Needs
Repairs, maintenance, buildouts, gas line work, water heater service, and water quality systems. Instead of juggling multiple contractors, you have one licensed plumbing team that knows your building and your systems.
Work That Meets Code and Passes Inspection
Commercial plumbing work is subject to stricter code requirements than residential. We're familiar with Indianapolis building codes, health department requirements for food service, ADA compliance standards, and backflow prevention regulations. Every job is done to code and documented properly.
Upfront Pricing That Respects Your Budget
We quote commercial work the same way we quote residential — upfront, in writing, before any work starts. No hourly rate surprises, no inflated emergency markups. You know what the job costs before we turn a wrench.
How We Work With Commercial Clients
Commercial plumbing service follows the same honest approach we use on every job, but with the additional attention to code compliance, scheduling, and business impact that commercial work requires.
For Repairs and Maintenance:
Call us and describe the issue. We'll schedule a same-day or next-day visit during your preferred hours (we understand that some repairs need to happen before or after your business is open to customers). We diagnose, quote, and complete the work — most commercial repairs are done in a single visit.
For Buildouts and Tenant Improvements:
We start with a site visit to review the plans, assess existing plumbing infrastructure, and determine what new work is required. We provide a written quote covering the full scope of rough-in, fixture installation, and any specialty work like grease traps, backflow devices, or gas connections. We coordinate with your GC on scheduling so plumbing doesn't hold up the project.
For Ongoing Accounts:
If you manage multiple properties or need regular plumbing maintenance, we can establish a working relationship that gives you priority scheduling and a plumber who already knows your buildings. Call us to discuss your ongoing needs.
Pricing:
All commercial work is quoted upfront in writing. For larger buildout projects, financing may be available through Wisetack depending on the project structure.

Emergency Plumbing
A burst pipe or major leak at your business can't wait. Our emergency service prioritizes commercial calls because we understand the financial impact of downtime.
If you want to work with an honest plumber who will execute the job with excellence, then you need to come to Parkhurst Family Plumbing! We had a major water leak and they got us in contact with a company that would help us with the insurance process while working quickly to help resolve the plumbing issues. We have had him install our kitchen sink four years ago, install a dish washer, install some toilets, replace the outside water spigot after it was leaking, reinstall the garbage disposal, fix the burst pipe (which required getting in the slab) and also fix a bad installation of a pipe in our bathroom by the home builders 20 years ago. He does an outstanding job and will be honest through the process. He’s also come out after hours and all times of the day and NOT charged an arm and a leg. Thanks, Larry! I should have left a review a long time ago — he can do it all!

I contacted Larry around 11am because the installers for our new stove said we needed to have a licensed plumber come out and change our stoves gas line. Larry came out later the same day and had everything fixed and even helped install our new stove for us. I highly recommend reaching out to him if you find yourself in need with your plumbing because he really saved my sanity by being here so fast and helping us.

Save thousands and use Parkhurst. The big dogs in town will rob you blind!! Apples to Apples quote proves that. One of the few honest business left in Indianapolis. I will 100% use them in the future.

We had a new experience in our home last night. We used the master tub, only to come downstairs and find an absurd amount of water coming from around the air vent in the kitchen ceiling! I immediately called Larry, and he was able to come over bright and early this morning to check the problem. Larry quickly found the issue: come to find out, we had a crack in the overflow catch! Larry was able to get it fixed and did a great patch in the wall, too! We’ve never had a plumbing issue before this, but if we ever do again, we definitely know who to call!

INDIANAPOLIS WATER: WHAT'S ACTUALLY IN IT?
Indianapolis tap water runs 12 to 25 grains per gallon — anything above 7 is considered hard, according to Citizens Energy Group. That mineral load is why water heaters, fixtures, and appliances wear out early across the Southside.
