Meet Larry, Three Decades in the Trade
Larry Parkhurst started plumbing in 1995 at age 17, apprenticing under a master plumber who taught him to treat every job like signing his name to a document. After 28 years working for other companies, Larry opened Parkhurst Family Plumbing in November 2023 with a simple commitment: honest work, fair prices, and a customer for life.
Today Larry runs the business alongside his family and serves his community through Living Waters Outreach, preparing lunches for neighbors in need every Saturday. That service mindset shows up in the work too: free second opinions, repair-first recommendations, and no-cost or low-cost help for single mothers and widows.
Questions Southside Homeowners Ask Most
Do you offer emergency plumbing in Indianapolis?
Yes. We handle leak detection, burst pipes, and same-day emergency plumbing during our business hours (Mon–Fri 7am–7pm, Saturday 10am–4pm). Call (317) 517-9348 and we’ll get to your home the same day when practical.
What are the signs I need a water softener?
Lime scale on faucets, spots on clean dishes, stiff laundry, and soap that won’t lather are the most common signs. Indianapolis water runs hard at 12 to 25 grains per gallon per Citizens Energy Group, so most Southside homes benefit from a softener.
How do I know if my water heater needs replacement?
Leaks from the bottom of the tank, rust-colored hot water, or no hot water at all usually mean replacement. A unit under ten years with a single failed part can often be repaired for a fraction of a new install.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Larry holds Indiana master plumber license CO52400001, and we’re fully bonded, insured, BBB Accredited, Navien and Rinnai certified, OSHA safety certified, and members of the Indiana PHCC.
Do you offer financing?
Yes — we partner with Wisetack for 0% interest financing over 12 months on qualifying jobs, with online pre-approval. We also offer 10% off for seniors, veterans, and first responders, plus free second opinions.
